Pro Acryl Glaze & Wash Medium is the perfect way to amplify your entire paint collection! Simply mix in your favorite color to create glazes, washes, and filters of any type. It has a thicker consistency to allow you to control it better on surfaces, but can also be thinned with water to get to any viscosity you like. Dries to a matte finish.

For glazes, start with 4 parts medium to 1 part paint. Adding more medium will further reduce the opacity of the color you add, while reducing will allow more of the color to show on the model.

For washes, start with the same 4 parts medium and 1 part paint, but then add an equal amount of water as medium to allow the mixture to flow across the surface of the model and settle in recesses for shading and filtering entire surfaces. Reducing the amount of water used will allow for more control when placing the paint in smaller areas, while increasing the thinning will reduce the overall intensity of the coloring.

Glaze & Wash Medium will slightly extend the dry time of your paint as you apply it, so wait for each layer to be dry to the touch before adding more paint over it.

Pro Acryl Varnishes will give you the perfect way to alter the finish of your painting both during the job and at the end!

Our gloss varnish gives a great shine for total coverage or spot gloss like eyes and blood. Can be applied with airbrush or brush. Thin with water to achieve various levels of finish. May be used as a medium to add a more satin or gloss finish to other water-based acrylic paints as well.

Newsh is our latest mixing medium that provides the perfect alternative to oil and enamel washes and filters! Newsh is a non-toxic, water-based way to apply all sorts of weathering effects to your models without the nasty toxic solvents that are usually necessary. Just dilute and clean with water!

Newsh mixes with any of our other Pro Acryl paints to create any color you like. Simply paint on the model and then remove from areas you don't want the weathering to be as heavy. It's long dry time is the magic, allowing you to play around to get the effects just right before leaving it to dry. Once it dries (usually about 15 minutes or so depending on how much medium you use and leave on the model), it's ready to paint right over the top. No need for varnish or other top coats, as Newsh won't reactivate. Apply other paints, glazes, or washes right away and keep on painting just like any other step along the way.

Make and model that much better with Newsh!

Colorless medium in a 120ml bottle.
